I’ve always had this rule about only going for men my own age, or mainly older. I always wanted someone more grown up but lately there’s something about these boys slightly younger that’s getting me hooked. Maybe it’s their attitude to life.

I met this guy Zack in a bar in Manchester last night, we were chatting whilst ordering drinks, he was cute and I was curious to know his age. He was American, originally from Colorado but here in England for a little while. It turned out he was 19 and when I told him I was 23 he said “Age aint nothin’ but a number”. It made me smile, he was right and something about his charm, his accent, his eyes and cheeky smile meant I couldn’t tear myself away.

Just as our conversation was getting very flirty, one of my friends came over to say we were moving on to the next bar. He said he hoped to see me around again. I just smiled and left.

If I do see him again then maybe I’ll give in to his irresistible charm and break the rule I originally had set…
