Catching up

After spending a week in New York for conferences and VIP dinners (it isn’t as glamorous as you may think…) and most of last week in London meeting the managing partners of our International offices I was more than glad to be home.

Rob and I are now officially together. Before I went to New York, we had a pretty serious talk. We’d been seeing each other for a month but neither of us had said anything about our relationship status. I told him I liked him which I truly do and I explained how I’d been let down by boyfriends in the past that I wasn’t so sure if I wanted to go through all that again. He understood but he assured me he wasn’t that type of guy.

Rob picked me up from the train station and gave me a big hug of which he wouldn’t let go. It was sweet, I suppose if he were gone for nearly two weeks I’d be the same.

When we got back to the apartment it wasn’t so much about the sex (although after being apart for almost two weeks, how could you not!), it was about being together. We lay on the sofa, kissing, cuddling, talking. Sometimes I need space so I can think and put things in to perspective and being away definitely helped.

On another note, Rob is going to Vegas for a fight in December and has asked me to go with him. I’m pretty excited about Vegas itself but I’m a bit nervous about the fight. I have all my confidence and faith that he’ll do well as he trains really hard but it’s watching him fight – I can’t physically watch.
